Terms & acceptable use

Last updated June 2026. Plain-language summary โ€” the short version is: be kind, be honest, don't be gross.

What this is

That's a Date (thatsadate.com) lets you pay a one-time fee to generate a private, personalized "will you go on a date with me?" invite link to share with someone, and emails you when they respond. That's the whole product.

Acceptable use

When you create an invite, you are responsible for the names and note you enter. You agree not to use the service to create or send content that is:

  • hateful, harassing, threatening, or abusive;
  • sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic;
  • targeting a minor, or impersonating someone else;
  • unlawful, or intended to deceive, stalk, or harm anyone.

We screen submissions and may reject, remove, or take down any invite at our discretion. Anyone can report an invite for review using the link on the invite page.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. The fee buys the generated link and email notification. Because the link is delivered instantly, sales are generally non-refundable โ€” but if something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.

No guarantees

The service is provided "as is." We can't promise the person says yes ๐Ÿค. We aren't liable for how invites are used between people, or for outcomes of any date.

Privacy

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. In short: we store only what's needed to run the invite, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
